India’s most successful
non-film artiste Adnan Sami is back after a 5 year hiatus with his brand new
studio album ‘PRESS PLAY’. The man who gave Indi-pop a rich flavour long with
composing several hit numbers, was in Delhi on the eve of Valentine’s Day i.e.
on 14th Feb 2013 as a part of the promotions. As a classical pianist, he has rendered solo performances before heads
of state. As a popular artiste, he has hit the right note with Indipop and
struck a chord with GeNext. Touted as having the fastest fingers on the
keyboard, Adnan is a globetrotter not only because of the divergent
geographical bearings of his career but also due to his range as a musician. The
eagerly awaited 11 track album includes 8 brand new songs ranging from Sami’s
signature ballads to his up – tempo lyrically stylized humour. All the songs on
this album retain Adnan’s unmistakable proficiency in achieving the perfect
blend of lyrics and melody.Speaking on the album Sami says, “It’s been a long time since my fans
have heard something new and exciting from me and I sincerely hope that their
wait has been worth it. This album has been made with a lot of love.”Press Play is definitely Adnan’s best work to date making the long wait
well worth it! From Ali Ali a sufiish mid – tempo track that will pleasantly surprise
the ardent Adnan fans to the infectious Roya the album lead single/ video which
is Adnan’s ode to his wife from the humorous Mere Baap Ka Kya Jaata Hai to the
mesmerizing ballad Karun Na Yad from the infectious Punjabi flavoured Kudi
Tight! to Baba a song penned in memory of Adnan’s father. Press Play is pure
Adnan Sami brilliance and an audio treat from start to end!Adnan has been enthralling Indian audiences since his first release in
